No worries, Biology is absolutely not required for B.Sc Hons agriculture.  The required subjects are physics, chemistry and maths/biology.  Most of the colleges and universities in India ask for biology along with Physics and Chemistry as a subject in 10 + 2 class level to be eligible for admission to Bachelor of Science Agriculture. But there are some colleges and universities as well which don't ask for biology as a subject in 10+2 for being eligible for Bachelor of Science agriculture. The eligibility criteria of these colleges is to complete 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects. The can

It's difficult to say for sure if you will get admission to any college with an ICAR rank of 17000 and an OBC category. The cut-offs vary from year to year.

You can try private colleges for BSc agriculture, biotechnology, forestry, fisheries, and other courses. You can also apply for counseling and get a seat if you are eligible.

You can check your email and the ICAR website regularly for updates.

General students with an overall rank of about 6K and OBC candidates with an overall rank of about 8K (AIR and not category rank) can expect to get a seat for agriculture-related courses.

To get admission in Sri Venkateswara veterinary university students should passed 12th standard with 50%  marks in aggregate with these subjects (physics, chemistry, biology and English). Admission will be provided at UG and PG on the basis of merit qualification marks in the entrance exam. List prepared on the basis of merit. For the course of BVSC  you have to appear in AP EAMCET and for the B.F.Sc and B.E. /B.Tech courses you need to give the exam of ICAR AIEEA. For M.E./M.Tech AP PGECET exam is accepted. Admission will be granted on the merit qualification marks in these exams for the respectictive courses.

It is not mandatory to appear for ICAR AIEEA to join G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. Here are some key points regarding admission to the college without ICAR AIEEA:

  • Candidates can join G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology without appearing for ICAR AIEEA .
  • While admission to B.Tech Agriculture at G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology is based on the entrance examination conducted by ICAR, admission to other courses may not require ICAR AIEEA.
  • Admission to MCA at G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology is based on the GBPUAT Entrance Exam, not ICAR AIEEA.
  • However, admission to Ph

As far as I remember, last year the exam was of two and half hours and the total marks was 180. Though ICAR doesn't provide a marks vs. rank statistics, nor does it release the marks of the students in its results, nor does it allow students to take the offline paper home, so I can't give an exact value of the cutoff score. I think you should aim for something above 100 as the competition is quite stiff. A rank within 2000 will guarantee you a seat in the first counseling itself, while the second counseling ends at a rank around 7k.
