Yes, PGPM does have dual specialization. The specialization could be a combination of Marketing + Finance, Marketing + HR, Marketing + Operations, Marketing + IT, Finance + HR, Finance + Operations, Finance + IT, and so on. 2 subjects of each specialization. There is also majors + minors of specialization wherein you could choose or select 3 subjects of one specialization which would be your major specialization and anyone subject of either banking, operations, finance and IT which would be considered as your minors specialization, both the ways of selecting subjects are good. Selection of the subject is usually based on the kind of field in which you want to make your career. Sometimes at the time of interviews or campus selection for placements, selection of subjects might make a difference in your selection for a particular post and for a specific kind of organizations. For example, in order to make a career in banking, it is better to choose subjects like Banking Service Operations, Overview of Banking, and Marketing of Financial Products.

I would encourage your decision. It is absolutely a good decision. The college has quite a good infrastructure, located at one of the commercial hub of Mumbai that is Powai - Hiranandani knowledge park. The institute has separate section and departments for various needs of the faculty and the students. There are many cultural and educational clubs for the purpose of Event management and enjoyment of students. The institution even provides dual specialization such as marketing + operations,finance + IT, finance + HR and so on. The college has a dedicated placement cell department which promises good placements every year. Many big corporate and companies such as Abu Dhabi Commercial bank, Deutsche bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bandhan Bank, Indusind bank, Standard Chartered bank, Citi bank, Kotak Prime, Kotak Securities, ICICI securities, Religare Securities, ICICI prudential, Kotak Life , Bharti Axa, IFFCO Tokyo, Tata AIG , Eskay Resorts, MSCI (Morgan Stanley), JP Morgan Chase, Deloitte, Crisil, E Clerx, Omkar Realtors & Developers, Lodha Group, Marathon Realty, Balaji Telefilms (ICE), Croma, Airtel, Just Dial, Vodafone, Videocon Liberty, Lexi Pens and many more visit at the time of placements. Even during SIP that summer internship companies like Amul, ACC Cement, AC Neilston, Birla Sun visits IBS Mumbai.

IBS-Mumbai is affiliated to ICFAI University (IFHE Group). It is an autonomous university which has its own set of institutions rules and regulations. Majority of the private institutes does not have AICTE recognition or accreditation. Many corporate or business houses does look for AICTE or UGC Approval at the time of hiring candidates from B-Schools. Be it a PGPM/PGDM/MBA/MMS, all matters is the placements that the institute provides to its candidates or students. It is the name or brand value of the institute that makes the difference at the time of placements. Everything right from company's visit, package offered by them, to the profile given depends upon the name of the institute it has with the corporate. Many companies recruit people from B-Schools based on the performance given by their Alumni or ex-students. There are various other big autonomous institutions like IIM (Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Calcutta & others), JBIMS (Mumbai), NMIMS (Mumbai, Hyderabad & Bangalore), Symbiosis Institute (Pune).
