Yes, IGNOU students get placement. However, the percentage of students getting direct placements through IGNOU campus placement cell is less. Importantly, IGNOU has a strong alumni network and through gaining add-on skills, students get jobs through off-campus drives. According, to various online sources, 70% to 80% students get placed every year during IGNOU placements through on-campus and off-campus placement drives. The top recruiters of IGNOU in recent past included leading companies such as Globiva, Radical Minds and Aviva India.

Yes, IGNOU degrees are absolutely valid for corporate and government jobs. It is the only Open University in India that is accredited with the highest A+ Grade by NAAC. Other than this, the Degrees / Certificates / Diplomas awarded by IGNOU are well recognised by all the member institutions of the AIU (Association of Indian Universities). Students become eligible for placement in the last year or last semester of his/her course. There are various private companies and organisations that visited our college for placement annually. Last year about 53% were placed by these companies with great packages. The average annual package was 14 Lacs and the highest was 25 Lacs by an Edutech.
