IIIT Dharwad has sprwaling infratsrcture which is spread across 60 acres of area. The institute includes classrooms, library, lab, activity room, music room, cafteria, bank, sports complex, salon, etc. IIIT Dharwad is a residential institute. There are separate boys' and girls' hostels. Each hostel has a separate mess, which provides breakfast, tea/coffee, lunch, high tea and dinner.

Yes, it is worth to study from IIIT Dharwad. The institute offers BTech, M.Tech and PhD programmes. The institute has 82% placements rates and 214 job offes made in 2025. The the highest and average package offered during IIIT Dharwad placement 2025 was INR 78.12 LPA and INR 12 LPA.

No there is no ragging culture in IIIT Dharwad. The Institute takes action against the students involved in ragging. The students are also required to fill out the anti-ragging form. With an EWS rank of 35,973 and 81 percentile, admission to top NITs or IIITs for CSE/IT is highly unlikely.
You may get lower-tier NITs or non-premier IIITs/GFTIs in later JoSAA rounds.
Branches like ECE, EE, Mechanical, or Civil improve chances.
State quota seats are another option for better colleges.
