Your JEE Mains ST category rank is 6690 so you would have quite a good opportunity in getting admission in different NITs, GFTIs and IIITs. Though the best departments in the best institutes may be hard, there are other reputed institutes that provide various type of engineering degrees in which you will have a chance to get an admission under JoSAA counseling. The advice is to be active during the counseling rounds and discuss all the possible options.

With a JEE Mains rank of approximately twelve lakh, it is unfortunately not possible to secure a B.Tech in Computer Science seat at any IIIT or GFTI through the main JoSAA rounds. These institutes typically close admissions for CSE below around fifty thousand rank for open category, with even less popular GFTIs and IIITs not stretching anywhere close to twelve Lacs rank.
You may wish to explore private engineering colleges where cut-offs are more flexible or consider state-level counseling where some self-financed or university colleges accept higher ranks. For IIITs and GFTIs, this rank is simply not competitive for CSE seats in

With an All India Rank of 4 lakh in JEE Mains, the possibility of getting a seat at any Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) through transparent counselling rounds is extremely slim. For most IIITs, the closing rank for the general category remains well within the range of around one lakh to one and a half lakh, and sometimes even lower for competitive branches like Computer Science and Electronics.

With 83 percentile and ranks 250606 (Gen) & 36043 (EWS), consider:
- Lower-tier NITs (NIT Sikkim, NIT Arunachal Pradesh)
- GFTIs (DCRUST, UIET Kurukshetra, HBTU Kanpur)
- State-level colleges (RTU, LNCT, VIT)
Apply to multiple colleges or explore management quota. Cutoffs vary annually.

With an OBC rank of 130149 in JEE main 25 it is unlikely to secure admission into IIIT naya Raipur for branches like computer Science and engineering under the all India quota as previous year cut off for CSE category closing ranks have been significant lower typically within the availability of seats

With an EWS girl rank of 26,982, getting into the A-list NITs for CSE or ECE is kinda tough. But don't lose hope—newer NITs, some IIITs, and GFTIs could still be in play for lesser-hyped branches. Keep all options open during JoSAA rounds. And yeah, if you've got home-state advantage, that's a win. Be ready to hustle through the rounds and grab what you can.

With 70% tile in JEE Mains and belonging to SC category getting into top NITs or GFTIS for CSE is unlikely however there is a possibility of getting a seat in some NITs or GFTIs with lower cutoffs through cseb special counselling or through other state level or private engineering colleges.

A rank of 3.85 Lacs in general catagory is generally too low for admission to IIITs through JEE Main counseling based on recent 2025 cutoffs trends.
