There is no such provision for direct admission to any of the courses offered at IIM Amritsar along with the MBA programme. Candidates willing to take admission in the MBA programme at IIM Amirtsar must fulfil the following requirements:
- Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories).
- Candidates must have valid score in CAT exam based on which they will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) round.
- Candidates who qualify the Personal Interview (PI) round will have to report to the admission cell at IIM Amritsar for document verification and fee paym

IIM Amritsar inducts candidates for the MBA programme based on a valid score in CAT exam. Candidates should prepare well for the CAT exam as only those students whose CAT percentile is above the closing rank mentioned in the cut-off list published by IIM Amritsar will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview (PI) round. Candidates who qualify for the Personal Interview (PI) round will be required to report to the admission cell at IIM Amritsar for document verification and fee payment for completing the admission process.
