Mass communication and journalism are two different things. Journalism is purely related to news, whereas, mass communication is a wider term. You can opt for various specialised Diploma courses in different subjects.

Yes, once you are doing BJMC, you come across various subjects. You can pursue MJMC afterwards or a PG Diploma in a particular subject.

1. Start date for sale of IIMC application forms:
First week of April, 2018
2. Last date for sale and receipt of IIMC application forms:
Second week of May, 2018
3. Admit Card Download:
Third/ fourth week of May, 2018
4. IIMC Entrance Exam:
Fourth week of May, 2018
5. Result:
Third week of June, 2018.

Hi Aashi,

The IIMC paper has 50% marks for Current Affairs, and 50% for English. For the first section, be abreast of last 6-month news; The top scams, the schemes which government undertook, etc. Even organisations or people that have been in news recently, and what for. Go through last 2 year papers to get an idea. You can also refer to Manorama yearbook for the current affairs. You'll also have to attempt one opinion based question out of 5 wherein you will have to write an article. Have a viewpoint on some of the most burning debates, like nuclear energy, minority issues in India or women safety are some important ones that you shou

Hi Harleen!
I would say that a comprehensive plan in studies will help you reach your target. The time table for the study plan should be in tune with your daily needs and schedule. As far as the preparation is concerned, I would suggest you to spend quality time everyday at reading journals, magazines, newspapers, etc. And for GK, you can refer Competition Success Review for updates on current affairs.
