If you are passionate and interested in journalism field then you can for sure go for it. IIMC is the most renowned college for journalism and it had its own eligibility criteria for student's selection.
But IIMC does not provide with the under graduate courses in journalism it only offers post-graduation and Diploma courses. For getting admission for the same, IIMC conducts an entrance exam and then on the basis of rank scored the student gets admission at any IIMC campus.

Hi Aishwariya!
Yes, maths, logical reasoning, analytical skills etc determine your aptitude. As an entrance criterion in IIMC, you need to appear for an aptitude test. You can find a detailed syllabus here https://www.shiksha.com/college/indian-institute-of-mass-communication/exams/iimc-entrance-exam/pattern

You must prepare a time table for this. It consists every aspect of quantitative aptitude as well as reasoning. Read the newspaper and general knowledge books daily for current affairs and read articles of journals and magazines. All the best.

Mass communication and journalism are two different things. Journalism is purely related to news, whereas, mass communication is a wider term. You can opt for various specialised Diploma courses in different subjects.
