The official JAM 2025 Round 1 admission data released by IIT Patna indicates a strong demand for the MSc in Chemistry programme among General category applicants. Over the past three years, the cutoff rank has moved from 446 in 2023 to 419 in 2025. These figures clearly show that students aiming for Chemistry at IIT Patna need to secure a rank well under 400. Moreover, if we talk about other courses, the cutoff remain competitive. So, getting a rank of 560 in IIT JAM is not at all enough to secure any course under General AI quota. IIT Madras has also published the Round 1 cutoff for its MSc programs, which has shown notable movement over recent years. In the latest IIT JAM 2025 seat allotment results, the cutoff in the first Round of seat allotment results for the SC AI category stood between 917 and 1382. Similarly, for the ST AI category, the MSc cutoff stood between 2609 and 3263. Considering the cutoffs, it indicates that the ST AI category candidates has faced comparatively lenient cutoffs as compared to that of the SC AI category candidates. IIT Kanpur JAM cutoff 2025 for the MSc in Mathematics programme saw fluctuations in the cutoff ranks over the last three years. For the General category students, the 2023 round 1 cutoff was 151; in 2024, it declined to 131. However, IIT JAM cutoff 2025 increased to 181. Therefore, candidates seeking admission to IIT Kanpur 2025 should at least attain 181 or higher to get a better chance at admission. IIT Kanpur offers MSc specialisations based on the IIT JAM exam.

IIT BHU has officially released the Round 1 cutoff ranks for MSc admissions through IIT JAM 2025, and the figures show a steady year-on-year change in the Chemistry program. The closing rank for General (All India) category candidates in MSc Chemistry was 453 in 2023, followed by a slightly lower cutoff of 387 in 2024. Now, considering the IIT BHU cutoff 2025, the MSc in chemistry cutoff stood at 308 for the General AI category candidates. The IIT Bombay JAM cutoff 2025 has been released for admission to the MSc course across multiple specialisations. During the Round 1 cutoff list, the closing ranks ranged between 13 and 616, with Biotechnology having the most stringent cutoff rank for admission. With lenient first-round closing ranks of 17 and 30, candidates can also choose MSc specialsiations, such as Applied Geology and Mathematics, respectively, for admission. Admission to IIT Guwahati is conducted through IIT JAM scores. Based on the scores, the IIT Guwahati cutoff 2025 is released for the candidates belonging to All India quota for different categories including General, OBC, SC, ST, PWD, and EWS. The cutoffs vary from college to college. As per the IIT Guwahati cutoff 2025 released for the Round 1 seat allotment, getting a rank between 61 and 259 will help to get an edge over the competition. IIT Roorkee JAM cutoff 2025 was released for round 1. The cutoff was released for admission to MSc specialisations. The cutoff ranks varied between 23 and 223. The cutoff was most stringent for admission to MSc in Economics and most lenient for admission to M.Sc. in Mathematics.
