IIT Madras being one of the prominent IITs has released the cutoffs for the admission to various courses for the candidates belonging to various categories including General, OBC, SC, ST, PWD, and EWS. According to the IIT Madras JAM cutoff 2025, the cutoff rank has released between 133 and 198 for the General AI quota. Similarly, for the SC AI quota, the cutoff stood between 917 and 1382. So, getting admission at IIT Madras via IIT JAM, SC AI category candidates need to acquire a rank upto 1382.

IIT JAM Counselling is done for the candidates who have qualified for the JAM examination and are willing to take admissions to the courses offered by IITs and other participating institutes. Applicants receiving an offer in any of the rounds are required to login at the official website within the stipulated time and choose one of the three options through Accept and Freeze, Accept with Upgrade and Reject and Quit.
The candidates will be required to login to the portal to view their status. Applicants who will be offered seat in the First Round must login to Candidate Portal and choose one of the three options discussed

IIT Jammu JAM cutoff 2025 was released for round 1. The cutoff was released for M.Sc. in Chemistry and M.Sc.in Physics with the cutoff ranks of 645 and 641, among the General AI category candidates. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the closing ranks for MSc in Chemistry and MSc in Physics were 854 and 1041, respectively.

IIT Palakkad accepts IIT JAM scores for admission ot the MSc specialisations. The cutoff was released for MSc in Physics, MSc in Chemistry and MSc in MSc in Mathematics. The last round closing ranks for the aforementioned specialisations were 588, 609 and 478, among the General AI category candidates. Whether you can get into this institution based on your IIT JAM rank of 400 would depend entirely on the category you belong to. The IIT Jodhpur JAM cutoff 2026 has been released for round 1 regarding enrollment to the MSc course. The cutoff was declared for different All India categories.
For the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 482 to 544. Hence, a rank of 500 might get you admission to the following courses.

The official JAM 2025 Round 1 admission data released by IIT Patna indicates a strong demand for the MSc in Chemistry programme among General category applicants. Over the past three years, the cutoff rank has moved from 446 in 2023 to 419 in 2025. These figures clearly show that students aiming for Chemistry at IIT Patna need to secure a rank well under 400. Moreover, if we talk about other courses, the cutoff remain competitive. So, getting a rank of 560 in IIT JAM is not at all enough to secure any course under General AI quota. IIT Madras has also published the Round 1 cutoff for its MSc programs, which has shown notable movement over recent years. In the latest IIT JAM 2025 seat allotment results, the cutoff in the first Round of seat allotment results for the SC AI category stood between 917 and 1382. Similarly, for the ST AI category, the MSc cutoff stood between 2609 and 3263. Considering the cutoffs, it indicates that the ST AI category candidates has faced comparatively lenient cutoffs as compared to that of the SC AI category candidates. IIT Kanpur JAM cutoff 2026 has been released for round 1 regarding admission to the MSc in mathematics course for various All India categories based on the IIT JAM entrance examination.

IIT BHU has officially released the Round 1 cutoff ranks for MSc admissions through IIT JAM 2025, and the figures show a steady year-on-year change in the Chemistry program. The closing rank for General (All India) category candidates in MSc Chemistry was 453 in 2023, followed by a slightly lower cutoff of 387 in 2024.
