The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering at IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category are - 1666 for OBC, 1248 for SC, 500 for ST, 862 for EWS, 165 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 3707 and closing rank was 3881. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 7319 and 8042. Admission to B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering in IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

For 2022, cut off was 3881 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering in IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 8042 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

IIT Madras offers various undergraduate programmes. The specialisations of B.Tech course include Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, and Ocean Engineering.

IIT Madras provides hostel facility both for boys and girls. It has 19 hostels, out of which four are for girls and 15 are for boys. The facilities of the hostel include sports, music rooms, tech rooms, and a TV room. It also has a garden and a library.

IIT Madras B.Tech admissions are based on JEE Advanced scores. Though, the institute records high cutoffs every year, with adequate preparation anyone can seek admission. Candidates need to be thorough with their Class 11 and Class 12 syllabus with proficiency in Science and Mathematics to crack the exam.
