You have no possibility of obtaining a seat in Computer Science at an IIT with a preparatory rank when the preceding year's cutoff is taken into account. Based on your preparation rank, you do, however, have a possibility to enrol in one of the IITs listed below for a variety of courses.

There will be seats reserved for preferential allotment at all the IITs for candidates belonging to Defence Service. To get the seat in this quota the candidate needs to be listed in the Common Merit List released after the announcement of JEE Advanced Result. Then there will be JoSAA counselling (joint seat allocation authority) according to the ranks the seats will be alloted.

Hi there. The eligibility criteria for class 12 percentage was removed earlier due to Covid 19. But the criteria is back in place now. From 2023 for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs through JEE (Joint Entrance Examination), candidates are required to score at least 75% marks in their Class 12 board exams. However, for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, the minimum required marks are 60%. Meeting this eligibility criterion is essential to be considered for admissions to these prestigious institutes.

Without counselling, there is no prospect of admission to an IIT. You must complete the JOSAA counselling if you wish to be admitted to IIT.

The candidates having preparatory ranks in JEE Advanced will not be able to participate in JOSSA counselling. So, you will not get any seat in IIT during the JOSSA counselling in present year. However, you will trained in IITs for one year and after successfully completion of training you will get vacant seats in IITs in next year.

The cut-offs fluctuate every year, and this year was no exception. However, because counselling has not yet taken place, it is difficult to give you an exact idea of your chances of getting a seat in a particular college based on your JEE-Advance rank.
