From 2023 for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs through JEE (Joint Entrance Examination), candidates are required to score at least 75% marks in their Class 12 board exams. However, for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, the minimum required marks are 60%. Meeting this eligibility criterion is essential to be considered for admissions to these prestigious institutes.

Without counselling, there is no prospect of admission to an IIT. You must complete the JOSAA counselling if you wish to be admitted to IIT.

The candidates having preparatory ranks in JEE Advanced will not be able to participate in JOSSA counselling. So, you will not get any seat in IIT during the JOSSA counselling in present year. However, you will trained in IITs for one year and after successfully completion of training you will get vacant seats in IITs in next year.
