Hello! These are two different topics and you want to know how they are from two different institutes too one is NIT and the other is IIT. There is a general perception that the academic and the placements are better in IIT as compared with NIT. This may be true definitely about placements because only a selected lot who clear JEE Mains are allowed to apply for JEE advanced and from here only limited students can get admitted to one of the IITs. It is offered by department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kanpur has a center called The Center for Robotics, established in 1989 through a grant of 5 million from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, dedicated to Robotics.
