The admission mainly depends on JEE examination. To get into NITs, good score in JEE Mains is required. To get into IITs, good score in JEE Advanced is required.

You might come across certain difficulties in dropping 2 years as with your age you won't be able to apply to some colleges. You should consider you age as a factor first and if you think you can do well by dropping twice you should go ahead with your plan.
good luck.

Your rank should be under 1000 in the JEE Advance exam or your marks should above 270 in JEE Advanced.

So, there is no syllabus as such but questions are mainly covered pertaining to topics like-analytical and reasoning skills, logical aptitude, design aptitude, general knowledge, english grammar and vocab, mathematical, quantitative and problem solving. Also refer to the UCEED and CEED papers from the years before and other sample papers. Resources on the internet are plenty (which should suffice). Also, there are many books for the above mentioned topics and NIFT, NID study material which you can refer to if needed (for there is some amount of overlap in the syllabus).

You can apply for JEE Mains but not for JEE Advanced because your percentage is less than 75%, but JEE Mains 2018 exam got over on 5/4/18.

Hello Sooraj,The admission in IIT is through entrance exam called JEE Advanced. But only those who score certain marks in JEE Mains are allowed to register for JEE Advanced. Also JEE Mains exam is already over. So now you can think of applying only next year.

Hi,
There is no minimum score required to appear for UCEED exam. The rank that you will secure in UCEED exam will determine if you're eligible for IIT or not. Aspirants who are from the Science Stream and have studied subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are eligible to apply for admission at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur. Candidates from any other stream (Science without Maths or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) can apply for admission at only IIT Bombay and IIITDM Jabalpur.
