IMT Nagpur is recognised as one of the leading institutions for management and hence draws a large number of students from all parts of India and abroad. The concern for the outstation students, after securing admission is the availability of a safe and comfortable accommodation. In order to meet the requirements of such students IMT Nagpur offers separate hostel facilities for both male and female students.

The PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) programme at IMT Nagpur has competitive admissions, which are determined by several factors such as scores on the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), Common Admission Test (CAT), GMAT, academic standing, relevant work experience, and performance in IMT Nagpur's selection rounds.
CAT scores are usually accepted by IMT Nagpur. IMT Nagpur does not officially reveal a cutoff percentile, although, in the past, applicants with CAT percentiles of 75 or higher have been regarded as competitive for admission.
