Applicants cannot get direct admission to FPM at IMT. Applicants wishing to apply for FPM at IMT Hyderabad must possess one of the following degrees with a minimum requirement of 60%:
1.comprehensive master's programme lasting five years in any field
2.a graduate degree
3.a master's degree or a degree comparable in any field
4.Any professional qualification, for instance, CMA, CA, or CS. Applicants for FPM at IMT Hyderabad must have a current GATE, CAT, GRE, or UGC NET exam result. In addition to the application form, candidates must submit a 5,000 word research plan in this field.

MBA placements at IMT Hyderabad are very good. Students can learn new integrated approach from IMT. Hyderabad's IMT College has a strong placement history. The college offers students plenty of internship possibilities in addition to on-campus placement. The college's placement rate is in the range of 80–82%. - IMT Nagpur: Accepts CAT, XAT, CMAT and GMAT scores along with MAT
- IMT Hyderabad: Accepts CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT and MAT scores for admission
