First of all, your choice of PGDM over Masters is a great move, as you get exhibited to more practical work and a co-op would let you into an internship after your 16 months of course, and I was on same boat but work experience matters later after your PGDM. You may get landed into a job straight after your course in Canada or you may not, so better be secured with genuine work experience, which will definitely help you in your career. My suggestion is to go for work related field for 24months at least and later on go on with your PGDM in Canada, which may land you into a job and a great future. As you have experience, you may be preferred too.

DTE Maharashtra will conduct MHT-CET 2018 for the UG engineering and architecture examination in the state. The exam will be held at state level and mostly all of the colleges and universities in Maharashtra will participate in it. The pharmacy admission in the state might also be done on the basis of MHT-CET.
Yes, students from other states can appear in the exam if they fulfil the eligibility condition of MHT-CET. The board candidates who have Indian nationality are eligible for the exam. For getting admission in the 1st year of B.Tech, the candidate has to score more than 45% marks in their qualifying exam then only he or she will be allowed to appear for the exam. The students from other states have to fulfil the eligibility type 1 to type 5 for form filling. Category or reservation policy is available only for Maharashtra state students and some relief is given to the Jammu and Kashmir migrants candidates, but a big part of the seat is reserved for the state students. Almost, 85% seats are reserved for the students which are not good. Maximum 60% seats may be reserved, so by taking the exam, they can't get admission as outside students get only 15% seats. So, it is quite tough to take admission.
