In the SOP, you can write down about yourself and your academic background briefly. Your skill sets and interest alignments towards the course offered by IIFM. Basically, you have to justify why do you want to join the institute.

The weightage for selection is 60% for CAT, 25% for PI & 15% WAT. You have fair chances of selection. Prepare yourself for WAT-PI with a good SOP.

Hello Mr. Adyut, I'm happy to inform you that you have a pretty decent chance to get shortlisted for WAT-PI. You can go through the college official website for last year cutoffs according to the category that you belong to. All the best.

Hi,
Topics for WAT are based mainly on current topics/ issues. As far as PI is concerned, two different people can have highly varying PI experience and thus it's advisable to brush up on your knowledge of graduation subject/work ex related questions/GK etc. During my PI, I found my interviewer very friendly. Be prepared to answer 'why IIFM' though as this question is asked most of the time. Hope this helps.

Dear Tarun, it is a misconception that graduates from IIFM are placed only in rural areas. I am happy to inform you that the current relieving batch of IIFM 2016-18 got placed in all sectors such as banking and microfinance, wildlife sector, consultancies, NGO's, Government agencies, paper industries and many other institutes. Please see the data regarding the placements on our official pages in the website and facebook for further information.

Dear Gunjan, you have a fair chance of getting a call from IIFM if you belong to any of the reserved categories, but you can apply through any one of the scores i.e, either CAT or XAT. The last date of applying to IIFM has been extended until February 20, 2018.

Hi Jaideep!
Once the shortlisting of the candidate is done using CAT/XAT scores, selected candidates will be informed regarding the schedule. Do check your registered mail every day once the deadline for applying ends.
Last year What/PI took place in the last week of March but that might change.

As far as Great Lakes is concerned, you have slightly dim chances.
All the best.
