IIT Bombay conducted the UCEED 2026 Entrance Exam for B.Des programmes on January 18, 2026. The notification was out in the first week of October 2025.

IIT Bombay released the admission notification for CEED 2026 exam at ceed.iitb.ac.in. 

The portal contain the updates about the CEED exam. It also contain useful recourses like previous years' question papers, answer keys, and course fee details. The candidate needs to carefully go through the notification to ensure their eligibility and prepare for the exam.

Yes, candidates from engineering, architecture, arts, science, or commerce backgrounds can apply. Candidates must have completed a graduate degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program of a minimum of THREE years (after 10+2 level).

CEED 2026 application started on October 01, 2025. The official notification was out on October 1, 2025. The last date to fill the application form was November 05, 2025.

Here is the current fee structure from Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) for their Furniture and Industrial Design (B.Des. Interior & Furniture Design):

- Total tuition fees: 25,10,176 for 4 years
- Hostel: 7,20,000 for 4 years
- One-time fee: 2,000 (at admission)

So, for 4 years (tuition + hostel + one-time fee), it comes to about 32.3 Lacs (Ahmedabad campus).

The time required to prepare for the Furniture Design entrance exams cannot be said with any certainty and differs on the basis of the specific exam you're preparing for. But in general, you should start at least 6 to 8 months before the Furniture Design entrance exam is tentatively scheduled to take place so that you have enough time to cover the syllabus, practice question papers, attempt mock tests, and revise the high-weightage topics.

It is not compulsory to give entrance exams for the Furniture Design course admission. Of more than 40 Furniture Design colleges in India, around 20 colleges give admission on the basis of Class 12 merit and interview/portfolio submission/studio rounds.
