For KCET Forestry admission, your performance in Biology is the most critical factor because Forestry falls under the B.Sc Agriculture/Allied Sciences group. Let me break it down clearly:

 KCET Forestry Admission Criteria

  • Eligibility: Class 12 with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). Maths is optional.
  • Exam Weightage: KCET considers marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Maths.
  • Seat Allocation: Admission to B.Sc Forestry in Karnataka (e.g., University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad / Bangalore) is mainly based on Biology performance, since it is the core subject for Agriculture/Forestry streams.

Yes. Biology is a mandatory subject for some BSc courses at Amity University Gurugram. However, not every BSc course has this eligibility requirement.

Some BSc courses are open to candidates of all streams. Others accept admissions from Science stream students regardless of the subjects they had in Class 12th.

No, BIology is not a mandatory subject in Class 12 board exams for Anurag University BSc admissions. Biology is an alternative subject that is accepted from candidates who cleared Class 12 without Mathematics.

The only mandatory subjects for BSc admissions are Physics and Chemistry for all BSc courses at Anurag University.

The QS World University Ranking by Subject 2026 places Chandigarh University in the 551-600 band for biological sciences. I think it's a good achievement in the field. It is worth considering along with factors like faculty, facilities and lab infrastructure.

One major reason students opt for Biology courses is to make career in academia or research in - life sciences, healthcare, zoology, botany, physiology, ecology or other Biology branches.

From research, innovations, quality control to clinical trials and lab ventures in the country biology grads can contribute as Microbiologists, Genetic Counselors, Pharmacists, Food Scientists & Nutritionists.

Contrary to the popular choice of MBBS and dental after PCB, other academic biology degrees have decent scope as well in private and government sectors.
