Yes, but students must renew it every year. They should pass the previous year exam to renew the INSPIRE Scholarship. Minimum required marks must be maintained. If conditions are not met, scholarship can stop.

Students can apply for the INSPIRE Scholarship on the conducting body's website at online-inspire.gov.in. They must complete the registration and submission of the application form carefully. The INSPIRE scholarship is only for basic Science courses. Students who get admission to courses based on Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology are eleigible for scholarship. Engineering, Medical and Diploma courses are not included under the INSPIRE scholarship. The course must be approved by a recognised institute.

Selected students get ₹80,000 every year. ₹60,000 is for tuition and study needs. ₹20,000 is for research projects. The amount is paid directly to the bank accounts of the selected candidates.
