Admission to courses offered by IAE Bhopal are both merit and entrance based. Candidates wishing to get a seat at IAE Bhopal must appear for SSAT 2025. Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the test. However, shortlisting for the BTech admissin is also based on candidates performance in the Class 12 exam. Further, shortlisted candidates are required to provide the medical fitness documents to guarantee their selection. Once the document verification is completed, candidates can then pay the course fee.

IAE Bhopal shortlists candidates for the BTech course based on candidates' performance in the SSAT exam. The eligibility criteria for SSAT exam is to have Class 12 with subjects such as Physics (P), Chemistry (C), and Mathematics (M)/ Biology (B). Apart from this, candidates who possess a three-year Diploma in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks also meet the eligibility criteria for SSAT 2024. Candidates who are in their final semester are also eligible to apply for SSAT 2024.

To pursue an AME course, candidates must meet certain elgibility criteria. These includes having a 10+2 with PCM from a recognised board, a 3 yaer engineering Diploma from a recognised University or approved by AICTE, and being eligible for a B.Tech in any stream.
The age limit is 16 to 28 years, and candidates must not have color blindness or physical disabilities.
A minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 with PCM or equivalent is required.
