Hi abantika, As per your rank, it will be really difficult to get a seat in any branches at iem. Although you may get a seat electrical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering in last round or spot round admission. But, you will easily get a seat in the branches like information technology, electronics and communications engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering etc. In other colleges like techno india, haldia institute of technology, heritage, ASANSOL engineering college, meghnad saha institute of technology etc. Best of luck.

Hi,
Yes, you can easily get admission in electronics and communication engineering branch at IEM. Your JEE Mains score is very good. You just need pass in all the subjects of class 12th board. If your rank in JEE Mains is 27000, then you should try for NITs as well. You will easily get a seat in good NITs.

It will be very difficult to get computer Science engineering with this rank. But, you will get information technology for sure with this rank. Placement for both computer Science engineering and information technology are similar, even electronics and communication engineering is also good and will be easily available with this rank. So, while filling the counselling form select CSE, IT, ECE in the same sequence. If you are 100% determined for computer Science engineering, then apply for techno India salt lake, Haldia, Heritage also at the time of counselling.

The fees for BCA in IEM is around INR. 3 lakhs (for three years). You need not to pay all this amount in one time. You will be paying your fees semester wise, which will be around INR. 50,000 per semester.
To prepare for the entrance exam, you should solve all the previous year problems. It is available in the market and you can purchase it from College Street.
Best of luck.

IEM is the best private engineering college in West Bengal. It has a very good infrastructure. However, the campus is small. IEM is known for its excellent placement records. It has been consistently providing good placements for years now.
