The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering & Nutrition (IHM Delhi) is generally considered to be one of the best hotel management institutes in India, if not the best. It is ranked #1 in India by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) and is also ranked among the top 50 hospitality schools in the world by QS World University Rankings.

The Institute of Hotel Management Kolkata (IHM Kolkata) is also a highly regarded hotel management institute, ranked #10 in India by NCHMCT. However, IHM Delhi is generally considered to be the more prestigious and competitive institute.

The lowest package offered to a individual during last three year is around 2.5 Lacs per annum. But keeping these things side around IHM kolkata is a reputed instituition so there is a very low chance there that someone is going to get lower packages in the placement drive offered by company. The average salary offred for an individual passing out from IHM Kolkata is around 5 Lacs and the highest salary there was 23 Lacs per annum.

So, with all the statistics, we can conclude that IHM Kolkata is very good institution and it is worth doing any course at IHM Kolkata.

The placement department of IHM kolkata is very active so first of all I would like to tell you all that you don't need to wory about the placement there you just need to be keeping your academic records good with a good communication skill. And you will be placed in different companies in IHM kolkata placement drive.

Anyway, as per my knowledge previously, Companies like Wipro, Hilton, Taj chennai, myntra, taco and other recruited in a large number in the batch of 2-23 placements.

But besides this, many more other companies also visited the campus but the mass recruiters were the above companies only.

Of course, as you all know that IHM Kolkata is a very good institute which is available for different courses and it is a very reputed institute for applying for different courses there. So it's obvious that it's degree is valid over the globe and with a great value at all. Don't think so much for its validity, this institute is really well for these things and reputed in Kolkata as it was founded in 1963. It is also affiliated with national council for hotel management and catering so it's also a plus point to trust upon these institutions

So, talking about the campus in Kolkata, as you know, Kolkata as a city is fast with lack of open spaces. Still IHM Kolkata college is at Taratala road and having a great campus with all facilities inside like canteen, mess, and every necessary facility. So don't think more about this IHM Kolkata , it is a very good institute for doing a course like hospitality and catering.

It all depends on the course you want to take at this institute. Since IHM Kolkata is a reputed institute, they have a limited number of seats in courses like B.Sc. So in courses like B.Sc, you have to appear for the NCHMCT JEE. Meanwhile, for certification courses and diploma courses, you don't have to give NCHMCT JEE. You just need to fill out the form and then apply for the entrance exam organised by the institute itself.
