There is no specific seat reservation in Nirma University, MCA. However, the seats are categorised in two parts. 15% of total seats are reserved for NRI students. Rest 85% seats are allotted by ACPC. It allots seats on the basis of entrance rank. Seat allocation is conducted in multiple counselling rounds.

The seats are divided in three categories. Categories are All India Quota (60%), State Quota (25%) and NRI (15%). All India Quota seats are filled by University. Separate registration on ITNU official website is done. The University releases list of selected students. Selection is based on Bachelor's or GATE merit score. State Quota seats are filled by ACPC. Candidates need to register and participate in counselling. It releases merit list of selected students based on GATE merit score.
