Yes, you can get Nirma University through GUJCET. The fifty percent seats of the total sanctioned seats shall be filled as Government seats from the candidates who have passed the Qualifying Examination from the schools located in the State of Gujarat and have appeared in GUJCET Examination for the corresponding academic year, by the Admission Committee on the basis of the merit list prepared by the Admission Committee.
The rank below the 500 in GUJCET can be good enough for admission here in the desired course.

If you are asking about the B.Tech lateral admission at Nirma University, than the lateral entry admissions (Diploma to Degree admissions) are governed by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Govt. of Gujarat on merit basis of qualifying examination. The admission will be given in the second year (semester III) of Bachelor of Technology Programme, but the candidate has to clear the pre-requisite courses prescribed by the Institute like :- 1. Hi Siddharth. Both institutes are good, but if we see in terms of placement JIMS is better. You should try in JIMS it will give you 100% placement and you will get to learn so many things. They will give practical exposure, live project, SIP and final placement in good companies. But it will depends on your skills. Good luck.
