It is similar process as other colleges. In every semester there are some subjects and credit given to each subject and based on that student secure grade in each subject and from it your SPI will be calculated and average of each semester will be your CGPA.

If a student fails the internal exams at Institute of Technology Nirma University, it may affect their overall performance in the course. Moreover, students here have the chance to take an improvement test in the compulsory courses. If students have already informed to faculty advisor then she/he can help you and fix an issue but if you haven't informed then you will lose your marks.

I wish this will not happen to anyone. But if happen then there is a rule to conduct supplementary exam just after 15-20 days results are announced. And if student fails in that exam, then there will be another chance given to students likely extra 2 attempts. If they couldn't pass then University can take strict action against student.

They don't have to be worried about their career in the 1st year. Because you have just gave too many exams in your 12th and also course design for 1st year is quite similar to 12th class so that there is no academic pressure and you can find decent club in University in which you can join for your better future which helps you a lot and participate in different activities.

There is a dress code that is only enforced on Mondays, which requires students to wear a white shirt, black trousers and black shoes. Interviews on campus are required to be conducted in formal attire. Avoid wearing shirts or pants with prints or checks, as well as any embroidery. In addition, formal attire is required for events like conclaves, guest lectures, and vivas.

Life at Nirma is quite different than other colleges. There are number of events held by different clubs and co-curriculm activities held by University instead of 9 to 4 lectures Mon-Fri and college exams held occasionally once a month.

The unique thing about Nirma University is that, it promotes enterpreneurship skill a lot. It has an E-cell and a lab named 'Idea Lab', wherein if a student has an idea that could solve a real-world problem, they can pitch their idea infront of panelists and if their idea gets selected, they can even get funding from the college to work on their idea. E-cell on the otherhand organizes various workshops and events, where famous industry tycoons come and share their knowledge on business building and importance of skill development.
