The BTech course with the least competition for admissions was B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at K J Somaiya Institute of Technology. In JEE Mains cutoff, the closing rank for B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering was 47,344 in the last round. This closing rank is noticably lower than the other BTech courses offered by K J Somaiya Institute of Technology.

According to NIRF Rankings for the Engineering category, BMSIT's BE programme was positioned #201-250. Earlier, in 2023, the institute was positioned #151-200 under the same category. This fluctuation in rankings indicates that the institute's ranking descended in 2024 when compared to 2023.
