SJMIT has many successful pass-out students in the fields of technology business and entrepreneurship. Some of the alumni are Vishal V, a Senior Engineer at Microsoft, and Shiva Kumar who started his own startup company in the AI sector. Currently, many alumni are working with renowned companies including Infosys, Wipro Technologies and Amazon; some students have also continued to further their education in various other renowned institutions of the world. The required documents for the B.E./B.Tech application process at SJM Institute of Technology (SJMIT) includes:
1. Copy of Tenth and Twelfth mark sheets-original and Photocopy.
2. KCET/COMEDK scorecard.
3. Caste certificate if any other than the general category income certificate.
4. The documents include a Transfer Certificate (TC) and Conduct Certificate.

Yes, though it is better if a student scores well in the COMEDK UGET exam, one can join SJM Institute of Technology (SJMIT) to take up the B.E./B.Tech course through the KCET seat or Management seat. When you opt for management quota you don't need to fulfil eligibility criteria but the fees will be relatively much higher in comparison to the students selected through entrance examinations.
