GMR Institute of Technology (GMRIT) offers the following admissions paths:

AP EAMCET: All students who take up this particular engineering course get into GMRIT on the basis of the entrance test, Andhra Pradesh EAMCET. But they must score qualifying marks for taking part in the counseling conducted by the board, APSCHE.

JEE Main : Although very few get through by the GMRIT on merit from the JEE Main scores,
Management Quota: GMRIT accepts the management quota for direct admission on 10 +2 academic merits.

It is possible to get B.E./B.Tech admission at GMRIT only if the student qualifies in Andhra Pradesh EAMCET or JEE Main exams. Counseling for Admission Post clearing Andhra Pradesh EAMCET is done by APSCHE. GMRIT offers management quota directly under merit based on academic score. Eligibility Passing 10+2 with PCM subjects and a minimum percentage of usually 45-50% is required for eligibility. Marksheets of 10th/12th, Andhra Pradesh EAMCET/JEE scorecard and ID proof would be required for admission. Specific dates and updates can be retrieved from the website of GMRIT, or from the admissions office.

B.E. / B.Tech is the best choice at Prasad V Potluri Siddhartha Institute of Technology for many reasons. The highest package offered till now for BTech students is INR 44 LPA and the average package is around INR 7-8 LPA. Around 80% of the students get placed every year. Some top recruiting companies include Accenture, TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, etc.

Per year, the hostel at Prasad V Potluri Siddhartha Institute of Technology costs around INR 1 lakh including all facilities. Total amount quarterly is INR 26,200. Note: Mess charges will be around INR 3,500 per month. 

However an important point to consider:

  • The hostels are not located inside the campus. However, the girls hostel is near to the college, but the boys hostel is very far from the college.

Generally, the food quality in the hostel messes at Scient Institute of Technology, Ibrahimpatnam remains satisfying for most students. The fare prepared by the mess through a method of mixing both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian courses remains quite nutritious and balanced for the benefit of students.
