1. State Bank of India (IIIT branch) guarantees an SBI Scholar student loan to a student who secures admission at IIITH of up to 20 Lacs (without the need for any security). This can be availed even if the applicant’s family has other existing loans.
2. The alumni of IIIT Hyderabad have set up a fund to support successfully admitted students based on need. The assistance is provided on a pay-it-forward* basis. In a Pay-it-forward scheme, students agree to pay the tuition fees of another student, after they successfully and start earning. The fund provides the below support

• Financial support to students whose family income is below 8 LPA from the second semester, subject to availability and meeting the pre-defined criteria
• Students above the income threshold can also apply and may be granted tuition support if their case is found worthy by the committee

Yes, IIIT Hyderabad offers part-time courses as well. The professionals are encouraged by the institute to enroll in the PG programmes on a part-time basis also. IIIT Hyderabad also offers MTech, MS by Research, MPhil and PhD programmes along with a few courses, namely MSIT and PGSSP courses at PG and doctoral levels. For all these courses, admission is also entrance-based. In addition to these part-time courses, IIIT Hyderabad offers degree programmes to its aspirants at UG, PG and doctorate (PhD) levels. IIIT Hyderabad admission is entrance-based for all these full-time programmes. Candidates seeking admission must apply online on the official website and the offerd courses include MTech, MS by Research, MPhil and PhD programmes.

PhD students can take the relevant courses in the first one or two semesters, depending on the background, just like a student of MS by research. After the first year, the student works on clearing the PhD qualifying exam which tests his or her breadth of knowledge in the field of study. To be eligible, candidates must have completed a relevant MPhil or master's degree course. Final selection to PhD at IIIT Hyderabad is subject to a valid score in one among PGEE/ Winter Research Entrance Test (WREE)/ GATE exam.
