If you have work experience of more than 4 years, then you can pursue 1 year executive program. If you are a fresher or having work experience of less than 3 to 4 years, then you can pursue 2 year MBA program.

One can't really guess about the topic of discussion in GD. Hence, it is advisable to have review knowledge of current affairs as well as of other industry opportunities in terms of opportunities etc. Basically, an overall knowledge of everything is required. CAT exam needs a lot of preparation and practice. My first advice would be to join a good coaching institute for this purpose. Slowly you will have to start planning and doing your self preparation.
The coaching classes are but essential for giving the roadmap.
