A degree and a diploma both lead to engineering careers, but they serve different goals.Degree (B.Tech/B.E.) is better if you want deeper technical knowledge, higher-paying jobs, campus placements, and future options like M.Tech, MBA, or research roles.Diploma is better if you want to start working early, focus on practical skills, or enter industry as a technician or supervisor. In simple terms:If you want long-term career growth, choose a degree. If you want quick job-oriented training, a diploma works. Both paths can lead to engineering — it depends on your goals.

The criteria for appearing in IPU CET B.Tech counselling is considered as a little different for  regular B.Tech courses compared to B.Tech and lateral entry programs:

  • Regular B.Tech Courses:
    • Valid JEE Main scorecard is required. IPU CET scores are not considered for these programs.
  • B.Tech (Biotechnology) & Lateral Entry Programs:
    • JEE Main scorecard is not mandatory. Seat allotment for these programs happens based on your  IPU CET score.

Also, there must be some timeline before which you have to apply for the refund process. Sometimes, you have to call to the university for the refund process or email them : When the timeline of getting a refund is over but you didn't get the refund or when there is no response from the university.

In very few cases there are non refundable policy which should be checked and known by the applicant before submitting the amount. In that case, you will not get refund . But almost every university have
