General Eligibility Criteria of WBJEE 2019
Nationality: The candidate should be a citizen of India
Age Criteria: The minimum age required by the candidate to be eligible for WBJEE 2019 is 17 years as on December 31, 2019. The candidate should have been born on or before December 31, 2002. There is no upper limit for B.Tech programmes except for Marine Engineering where the upper age limit is 25 years as on December 31, 2019. Academic Qualification: The candidates should have qualified his/ her 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Computer Application as compulsory subjects with individual passing marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects mentioned above in regular class mode. Those candidates who will be appearing in the qualifying exam in 2019 will also fulfill the eligibility criteria of WBJEE 2019. Marks Required: General category candidates should have secured an aggregate of 45% and reserved category candidates should have scored 40% in the above three subjects taken together to be eligible for WBJEE 2019. All candidates are required to have qualified English in 10+2 with atleast 30% marks. The board of the qualifying examination must be recognised by Central and State government concerned.

Candidates applying tough coursesmust be Class XII pass with at least 50% marks or equivalent from a recognised university or board. Minimum eligibility to apply forPG coursesis Graduation with at least 50% marks or equivalent from a recognised university. Admission to all the PG courses at Jadavpur University is done throughentrance testconducted by individual departments. For PG courses offered by Faculty Council of Engineering and Technology, GATE score is mandatory. For those who have not taken GATE will have to appear in the entrance test conducted by the department.
