No, you cannot join Jai Hind College without an entrance exam for certain courses. The admission process varies depending on the course:
- For aided courses like BA, admission is based solely on merit, i.e., marks secured in the 10+2 qualifying exams. No entrance exam is required.
- For unaided courses like BSc IT, there is a separate college entrance test in addition to the basic eligibility criteria of minimum 60% marks in 12th with Maths as a compulsory subject. The admission is based on merit in this entrance test.

One can get into this college by proper self-studies. Jai Hind College is the topmost college in Mumbai, offering UG and PG courses in all streams (including BA, BCOM, MCOM, BMS, PhD, BSc). It also has high placement, its the highest placement is of (5-6LPA) and its minimum placement is also of (2.5-3LPA). The eligibility to get admission to this college is to secure 85% for the general category and 90% or above for outsiders. Earlier the cut-off for BA was (94%) Bcom in account and finance (90.1%) and for Bcom (88%)
