There are separate books available for different topics in JAM Geology. So, buying these books separately for each topic is not a good idea. I would suggest you to take help from study materials which covers the syllabus for all the topics in a single book. So, you don't have to carry 10-15 books with you. I would suggest you to take help from study materials which cover the syllabus for all the topics in a single book. So, you don't have to carry 10-15 books with you.
For JAM exam preparation, you should solve previous years' question papers and take online mock tests. This will give you an idea about the pattern and difficulty level of the questions. Make notes of all the important stuff. This will help you in your last minute preparation.Best of Luck!

Dropping a year is only meaningful if you are confident enough to get the despaired result. Firstly, just go through IIT JAM. If you think that one year preparation is sufficient for you to get the desired branch and stream, you can drop otherwise you may look for any other college.
