No, unfortunately there is no National Law University in Jammu and Kashmir. However, there has been progress towards setting one up. The J&K National Law University Act was passed in 2018, but its establishment is still in process.

There are around 15 top Law colleges in Jammu and Kashmir of which 7 colleges are owned by the government and the rest 4 colleges are owned privately. CUET-PG and CUET are the top entrance exams for admission to best Law colleges in Jammu and Kashmir.

Admission to MIET college Jammu is entrance-based. Candidates must have a valid score of relevant entrance exam to secure admission at Model Institute of Engineering and Technology. Apart from entrance exam, aspirants must also meet the eligibility criteria of their desired course. The college accepts scores in JEE Main, CUET, CAT, CMAT, etc. for admission to specific programmes. Besides, the institute also conducts MET for admission to UG and PG courses.

The overall cutoff for the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Jammu for 2023 is 465–652 rank. The qualifying overall IIM Jammu CAT 2023 cut off for NC-OBC, SC, ST categories is 72, 52, and 37 for male candidates and 70, 50, and 34 for female candidates respectively.
