JEE Main Preparation

I am expecting around 260 marks in JEE Mains and per day I used to study for about 5-6 hours.

First go for NCERT books of physics, chemistry and mathematics. Then go for NCERT exemplar books. After you have completed the both, go for D.C. Panday for physics and Arihant Publication's 8000+ MCQ for both maths and chemistry.

I will suggest that instead of ALLEN go for RESONANCE! From the past few years, they are producing a great result whereas in terms of medical entrance preparation, ALLEN will be the best.

If you look at it logically, it's quite simple. Set timetable for studies and stick to it. Your timetable should have time assigned for each subject everyday and also time assigned for exercise. Mock test every week. Brushing up on weak areas also. That's all.

You must not get demotivated because of your one failure. You are advised to continue with your education by first completing 10th and then 12th board. You may put extra effort and try to overcome your weaknesses in subjects you have failed in 10th. In the mean time you can continue with your JEE preparations.

What you are confessing is quite serious. If you are not able to score minimum 75% marks in 12th then preparing for JEE Mains would be futile. I suggest you take some dedicated tuition from your teachers and see how your ability develops.

It's a decision to be taken with analysis. There are plenty of students who take drop & prepare exclusively for JEE Mains & Advanced. Caution needs to be exercised that perseverance and dedication for study needs to be maintained. If you can then go ahead with your plan.

How much marks you are expecting in this year? I may tell you whether it will be good to drop one year only after that.

Almost all the famous coaching classes have distance learning programmes. Akash, FITJEE, ALLEN, Topper are few of the many available. You can select any one of these. But take it seriously.

Excluding your coaching fee, you need to have a monthly budget of around 10-15K if you are staying in a PG.
