Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences is an autonomous body established under an act of Jharkhand Assembly and is one of the premier medical colleges in the state and India.The institute was originally called Rajendra Medical College Hospital after Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. The institute is recognised by NMC and Ministry of Health & Family. It offers UG, PG, Advanced Masters and Post Doctorate courses in full time mode. MBBS is the flagship course of the college. The intake capacity of under graduate MBBS course 180 every year. Overall it is a good college for doing MBBS.

The intake capacity of under graduate MBBS course 180 every year. The admission to MBBS is based on the score of competitive exams like NEET followed by the counselling process conducted by the Medical Counselling Commitee.
