The eligibility criteria released along with the JIPMAT information brochure states that:
- Candidates should have passed the Class 12 level exam, irrespective of the stream
- Aspirants who are waiting for the Class 12 exam result and will pass the exam are also eligible to apply for the JIPMAT exam
- Candidates who have passed Class 10 level exam are eligible
- Unreserved category candidates must have secured 60 per cent aggregate marks in Class 10 and 12
- With a marks concession of 5 per cent, candidates belonging to reserved categories must have secured a minimum aggregate score of 55 per cent in Class 10 and 12
