To add test centre preference in the JIPMAT application form, candidates must follow the steps mentioned below:
1. Visit the official website of JIPMAT and proceed to fill the application form.
2. Fill in the personal details, academic qualifications, and other necessary information in the JIPMAT application form.
3. In the "Choice of Test Centers" section, there is a drop-down list of available exam cities. Select preferred exam state/zone from the list.
4. After selecting the exam zone/state, a list of available exam cities in the particular area will appear. Select the preferred exam city from the list.
5. Candidates can add up to 4 preferences for exam cities and exam centres.
6. After selecting the exam centre, review the details filled in application form and make necessary changes.
7. Finally, pay the application fee through the available payment modes and submit the JIPMAT application form. Once your application form is submitted, the exam conducting authority will allot an exam centre based on the availability and preference of the candidate. The exact exam centre details will be mentioned in the JIPMAT admit card.

NTA allows candidates to choose their preferred exam cities while filling the JIPMAT application form. However, after the issue of the advance city intimation slip, it is not possible to change the exam city. The exam conducting authorities allot the exam centre based on the preferences chosen by the candidates, subject to availability. Once the exam centres are allotted, the advance city intimation slip is issued. If a candidate wishes to change their exam city after the issue of the JIPMAT advance city Intimation slip, they cannot do so as the city allotment process is final. Therefore, it is crucial for candidates to choose their preferred exam city at the time of filling out the application form and avoid any inconvenience later on.

NTA JIPMAT advance city intimation slip is a document comprising the details of the allotted exam city for the JIPMAT exam. NTA issues the advance city intimation slip before release of the hall ticket. All registered candidates will get the advance city intimation slip a few days prior to the JIPMAT exam. The slip will contain information, including exam name, application number, candidate's name, father's name, gender, date of birth, category, PWD status, exam medium, exam date, and city of exam. Candidates must download and take a printout of the advance city intimation slip from the official NTA JIPMAT website. The admit card for JIPMAT exam will be released separately two to three days before the exam date. The intimation slip is primarily released to notify the exam city before the issuance of the JIPMAT hall ticket. After checking the JIPMAT advance intimation slip for allotted city, candidates can make travel arrangements for the exam day beforehand.

Yes, candidates filling the JIPMAT application form have the option to choose their preferred exam city. During the application process, candidates are asked to select their choice of exam cities from the list of available cities. They can choose up to 4 cities in order of preference. However, the final allotment of the exam centre is subject to the availability and discretion of the exam conducting authority. In case the requested city is not available, the candidate will be allotted the nearest possible city as per the availability. Therefore, it is advised to choose the exam city carefully and wisely, keeping in mind the convenience and accessibility of the location.

If the candidate has paid double fee while payment of JIPMAT application fee, the amount will be refunded. NTA will refund the excess JIPMAT application fee soon after the closure of the correction window, after fee reconciliation. In case one does not receive the refund, they can write an email to the exam authorities at jipmat[at]nta[dot]ac[dot]in. In the email for the excess fee reimbursement, candidates must state the following details:
- Application number
- Name
- Transaction reference number
- Date of the transaction
- Name of the bank/payment gateway through which payment was made
Candidates are advised not to wait until the last moment to pay the JIPMAT application fee. In case of payment failure, candidates will have excess time to seek refund and try paying the fee again.
