JIS University

JIS University, Kolkata is a private university. It was established in 2014 through the JIS University Act, 2014 (West Bengal Act XXII of 2014). The university is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Engineering, Management, Law, Pharmacy, Education, and Humanities and Social Sciences.

JET (JIS University Entrance Exam): Candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognised Central or State Board or its equivalent with minimum 50%* marks. Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) qualified candidates can directly apply for GD/PI.Tech admissions, students must secure 45% in 10+2 in PCM and qualify for either WB-JEE or JEE Main or AMPAI. The merit list is prepared by MAKAUT for counselling. BBA and BCA admissions are offered on the basis of scores obtained in 10+2 in relevant compulsory subjects. Admissions are based upon MAKAUT Counselling
