Candidates who have obtained a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in Master's Degree or equivalent exam from UGC-recognised universities and institutions are eligible for JKSET/ LASET exam. However, reserved category candidates such as SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender need 50% marks. Moreover, Candidates who appeared or are appearing for the Master's degree exam and awaiting the results can also apply for the exam. There is no upper age limit to appear for the JK SET exam.

Jammu and Kashmir State Eligibility Test JK SET is a State Eligibility Test conducted by the University of Kashmir. Candidates willing to work as an Assistant Professor in various colleges and universities in the state Jammu and Kashmir can apply for JK SET. Eligibility : To apply for JK SET the General Category candidates must have at least 55% marks whereas, those belonging to Reserved category must have a score of at least 50% marks in Masters Degree or they must have qualified any other equivalent exam from any UGC recognised institutions/ universities.
