Jammu & Kashmir State Eligibility Test (JK SET)/ Ladakh State Eligibility Test (LASET) is a state-level exam conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in universities and colleges of the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The exam is organised once a year by the University of Jammu in 41 different subjects mentioned below:

The University will release the JK SET result 2025 online. The result will be displayed as a PDF download file containing JKSET merit list. The list includes the roll numbers of qualified candidates. The direct JKSET result PDF download link will be shared here. 

The aggregate percentage obtained by candidates in both papers corresponding to the number of slots determines the qualifying JK SET cutoff marks 2025. The JK SET cut-off 2025 will be released category-wise and paper-wise for all 41 subjects.

JKSET 2025: Minimum qualifying marks

The minimum marks to be obtained in the JKSET exam for considering a candidate for eligibility for the Assistant Professor post are:

• At least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for Unreserved/ EWS-General category candidates
• At least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for all candidates belonging to the other reserved categories.

The University of Jammu released the provisional JK SET answer key 2025 online. The provisional answer key has been released to invite objections from candidates. Candidates can download the JK SET answer key 2025 PDF and raise objections by following the given steps:

• Visit the official website- admin.jammuuniversity.ac.in/JKSET.
• Click on the ‘Display/ Challenge Answer Key’ tab.
• Accept the declaration.
• Enter the roll number and mobile number.
• Download the answer key PDF.
• Click ‘Yes’ if you want to challenge the answer to any question.
• Enter the total number of answers you want to challenge in both Paper 1 and 2.
• Pay the non-refundable processing fee of INR 200 per answer to be challenged.
• Mention the question number you want to challenge, the correct option as per your claim and write the remarks in favour of your answer.
• Upload the documentary proof in support of your claim as a single pdf file.
• Submit the challenges.

• Visit https://www.jujkset.in/
• Click on the 'How to Apply?' link
• Go to the 'Click here to apply for JK SET/ LASET 2025' link and click on it.
• Read the instructions carefully.
• Pay the JKSET application fee 2025.
• Register for the exam and save the transaction reference number
• Enter the transaction reference number and mobile number
• Upload the scanned photo and signature in the prescribed size and dimensions.
• Fill the JKSET application form.
• Submit and save the confirmation page.

The eligibility that candidates need to fulfil to apply for the JK SET 2025 exam are given below:

• Candidates with at least 55 per cent marks or an equivalent grade (50 per cent for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD) in Master’s Degree or equivalent exam from Universities/ Institutions recognized by UGC.

• Candidates who appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree exam and whose result is still awaited will be admitted provisionally and will be awarded the eligibility for Assistant Professor after they pass the Master’s degree exam.

• PhD degree holders who completed the Master’s degree exam by September 19, 1991, are given a relaxation of 5 per cent in aggregate marks for appearing in JKSET/ LASET.

• Transgender category candidates are eligible to draw the same relaxation in fee and age as available to SC/ST/PwD categories.

• Candidates who have already passed the UGC NET/ CSIR NET exam before 1989 are exempted from appearing in JK SET.

• There is no upper age limit for applying for JKSET/ LASET.
