JNAFAU - Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture And Fine Arts University

There are a total of 60 seats for the BDes course of Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University. The seat allotment is done based on performance in the FADEE exam. This entrance test is conducted by the university. There are seat reservations that are offered by the university as well. 

In the eight semester of JNAFAU BDes course, the candidates have to go through a practical training. This is included in the curriculum to ensure the students become industry ready. Hence, there are no subjects or topics that are covered in this semester. The students are just required to complete their training for course completion. 

The students can select electives in the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh semester. There are two course options that are given. Some of the electives that are included in the JNAFAU BDes course syllabus are:

• Digital Technology in Design
• Visual Merchandising
• Product Design and Innovation
• Green Buildings
• Building Automation, etc.

The topics/subjects covered in the JNAFAU BDes programme are related to the field of Designing. It is curated in a way that ensures the students become industry ready. Apart from core courses, there are electives in the syllabus as well. Mentioned below are some of the subjects that are part of the course curriculum:

• Measured Drawings
• Fundamentals of Design
• Space Planning
• Interior Design
• History of Interior Design, etc. 

The admission criteria for BDes at Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University is entrance-based. Aspirants who meet the eligibility criteria can register and apply. Moreover, the students have to take the Fine Arts and Design Entrance Examination (FADEE). Based on exam results, the candidates are shortlisted and become eligible for admission. The selected candidates can further pay the admission fee amount to confirm their seats. JNAFAU BDes tuition fee is INR 3 lakh.

Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture And Fine Arts University generally releases its application forms in the first week of June. The application window closes by the second week of July. Moreover, the FADEE exam is also conducted in Jul. Students who meet the eligibility requirements can visit the official website to apply when the application form is out. 

The Fine Arts and Design Entrance Examination (FADEE) is conducted in Jul for the BDes course admissions. Candidates are shortlisted based on their scores in the entrance test. In 2024, the entrance test was conducted on Jul 20 and Jul 21. Aspirants wanting to take admission must stay updated with the important entrance exam dates. 

To get admission to the Diploma in Professional Photography at Lakhotia College of Design, you have to Complete 10th class, Complete an 11-month course at Lakhotia College of Design and have complete a 1-month professional internship to get admission.
