Aspirants wishing to apply for scholarship must first check the criteria. The institute offers financial aid and Merit-Based Scholarship to students. Below are the steps to get financial aid at KJSIM:

Step 1: Register on the admission portal, admissions.somaiya.edu and submit the financia-aid related documents with admission form.

Step 2: Applications thus submitted are then reviewed and screened based on eligibility criteria.

Step 3: Aspirants found eligible after the screening, go through an interview round Scrutiny.

KJ Somaiya Institute of Management has a dedicated placement cell named as Career Management & Corporate Relations Centre. The Institute conducts Guest Lectures Competitions and Webinars wherein industry experts and leaders share their valuable insights. Other than this, the placement cell at KJSIM organises competition wherein corporates engage with students through Business plans and Case studies.

Importantly, KJSIM lays strong emphasis on corporate projects and summer internships, which eventually prepare students to gain real-time corporate experience and network with industry leaders as well.

KJSIM offers financial aid to the students from lower-income backgrounds and People with Disabilities (PwD). Candidates' availing this scholarship are offered 10% to 80% tuition fee waiver based on the evaluation process. The students who get awarded with scholarship, have to pay only the registration fee of INR 50,000.

Yes, KJ Somaiya Institute of Management offers a two-year MCA programme. The course is offered in a full-time mode. Aspirants of the PG course must fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements. Eligible candidates can apply by visiting the KJSIM official website. Moreover, for selection, applications are shortlisted based on score in PERA CET/CUET/MAH MCA CET. 

KJSIM total intake for the MCA programme is 60 seats. Candidates are admitted to the PG programme based on the sanctioned seat count only. However, the institute also has the right to revise the seat count in any admission year. As per information available on the internet, there are no caste based reservations available at the institute.

There are 13 NEP recommended courses included in the MCA course curriculum. During the course, candidates have to complete/study these programmes as well. Some of the recommended courses mentioned in KJ Somaiya Institute of Management MCA curriculum are:

• Street plays for social awareness
• First aid training for a week
• Making short film/photography
• Ettiquette and conversational skills, etc.

Candidates can choose electives in the second and third semesters of the KJSIM MCA programme. The electives paper that the candidate can choose from are- Blockchain Technology, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Economics, and Environmental Issues and Ethics, etc.
