There are 300 scholarships put aside for the State Merit scholarship. The eligibility of this scholarship is postgraduate and undergraduate students. The selection of the candidate for State Merit Scholarship is based on the Merit list, submitted by the Board of Intermediate and the concerned university. The selected candidates will get Rs. 50.00 per month for the First year, Rs. 75.00 per month for Second and Third year for the undergraduate courses and Rs. 100.00 per month for postgraduate courses. The candidate is eligible for this scheme, if their parents per annum income should not exceed Rs. Six Thousand (6000/-).

Yes, you can do B.Ed after your B.Sc graduation, and B.Ed is also approved by AICTE. So, don't worry go for it.
