IIIT Dharwad admissions are highly competitive. An average student may get admission in the institute. However, this requires students to get a good score in accepted exam or perform exceptionally well in the selection rounds as per the programme. Students can start preparing well in advance. KCET exam is not compulsory for NEET UG exam. However, KCET registration or UGCET registration is mandatory for candidates who want to participate in the Karnataka NEET Counselling. Candidates need to clear the NEET exam and should be KCET/ UGCET registered to take admissions to medical/ dental/ AYUSH seats.

IIIT Raichur JEE Main cutoff 2025 for the OBC AI quota ranged from 12624 to 89745, according to the first and last round closing ranks. As per the last round closing cutoff, the most and least competitive BTech specialisations were BTech in Computer Science and Engineering and BTech in Mathematics and Computing, respectively.

BGS Institute of Technology has a 21 acre campus in Mandya whereas the Bangalore campus of BTI spans over 15-17 acres. BGSIT is located in semi-urban area whereas BTI is located in the urban area. Both colleges offer hostel facility to students. Both colleges have well-equipped labs. While BGSIT campus offers more greener spaces, the BTI campus has the advantage of better connectivity.
