In addition, applicants should provide entrance exam scorecard like JEE Main or MHT CET results, an Aadhar card, or other ID proof for identity verification and passport-sized photographs. Yes, admission to the B.E./B.Tech course at Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (KITS) can be obtained without MHT CET. The applicant has to qualify for JEE Main. One needs to have a passing certificate in 10+2 with aggregate 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Diploma holders in engineering can also apply for this course. The college admits students to the college based on their JEE Main score. The college strictly follows merit-based admission so proper selection can be done for the candidates, and it provides flexibility to the students who are not giving the MHT CET examination.

Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science offer many scholarships in order to help the students in the financial aspects. Till now, scholarships are merit-based awards for learners who have a good academic record, government scholarships are available for learners belonging to the reserved categories such as SC, ST, and OBC, as per the criteria. Also, low income group, also known as economically weaker section (EWS) students may get scholarships. There may also be a relationship between some industry scholarships and tutorial excellence for learners of high aptitude.

According to the students, the quality of food at the hostel mess of KITS is generally satisfactory. There are different veg and non-veg food items being provided in the mess. Meals in the mess are served considering nutrition so that students are able to receive diets that are well-balanced. Although most students love the home-cooked form of food, others sometimes demand more variety or more taste. Overall, it can be said that mess staff do react so well to feedback with improvement ultimately directed towards the dining experience for comfortably enabling residence of the student.
