Yes, admission to all the Kaziranga University courses is merit-based, except for BTech. For BTech admissions, the University shortlists candidates based on JEE Mains or state entrance examination CEEE or KUEST scores. Interested candidates are required to apply to their desired course, after meeting the course-specific eligibility criteria, through the official website or by post or offline by visiting the University campus.

Yes, Kaziranga University conducts Kaziranga University Entrance and Scholarship test (KUEST) for admission to the KU BTech course and shortlist candidates for scholarship. In 2024, the KUEST is expected to be conducted in the May. Interested candidates can to visit the official website to regiter for the entrance exam to get upto 100% fee waiver.

Yes, Kaziranga University offers a fee refund policy which is by the laid down guidelines by UGC. UGC stipulates that any HEIs should make total refunds of fees on account of all cancellations of admission/migrations up to certain dates. For academic session 2023-24, UGC states that there should be a full refund till September 30, 2023. From this date onward and until October 31, 2023, the refund can be made at the discretion of the institution after a deduction not exceeding Rs.1,000 towards processing charges. To be eligible for B.Tech. at Kaziranga University in Jorhat, Assam, students must fulfill specific criteria. Entrance exams: JEE Main, Assam CEE, or KUEST. Additionally students must have studied physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects during their 10+2 education They should also have studied chemistry, biotechnology, biology, or technical vocational as one of their subjects. Students must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in their 10+2 exams. However there is a relaxation of 40% for candidates belonging to the SC/ST category.
