To be eligible for BTech admission at Kaziranga University, applicants must have  passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational as one of the subjects. They must have obtained at least 45% in the above subjects taken together. The minimum aggregate scored required for SC/ST candidates is 40% as a relaxation of 5% is provided to them. Additionally, the university may require applicants to have qualified in one of the accepted entrance exams, such as JEE, Assam CEE and KUEST.

Kaziranga University offers a BA (Hons) in Sociology. To be eligible to pursue BA (Hons) at the university, applicants must have passed Class 12 in the stream of Arts/Science/Commerce from any recognised board. They must have scored at least 45% in Class 12. Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category must have obtained a minimum of 40% in Class 12 to be eligible for admission.

Accoring to the Kaziranga University eligibilty criteria for MBA, candidates must have passed a Bachelor's Degree of a minimum 3 years duration from a recognised university to be eligible for admission. Additionally, they must have scored at least 50% in the qualifying examination.
